The Bridging The Digital Divide Community Ambassador Program is created to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills to navigate the atingi Tourism and Hospitality eAcademy.


This session will:

  • Empower you with the knowledge of how the atingi Tourism and Hospitality eAcademy works and how to navigate it.
  • Introduce you to the opportunities for people entering or looking to grow their careers in the tourism and hospitality sector
  • Connect you to a community of tourism professionals interested in supporting each other and their communities with new skills and tools on their tourism and hospitality learning journey.


Who can be a community ambassador?

Community leaders who are passionate and dedicated to promoting digital learning and community engagement within the tourism and hospitality industry. Collaborative, adaptable, and driven by positive impact.


The Bridging The Digital Divide Community Ambassador acts as a multiplier by taking the new skills they learn during the sessions back into their community, encouraging participation in digital learning, and fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the tourism and hospitality industry.


What are the participation requirements?

To be eligible for participation you must:

  • Be able to attend the whole training session
  • Access to a stable internet connection
  • Access to a laptop or smartphone
  • Have an interest in encouraging participation in digital learning among South African youth and women.
