With Woman's Month around the corner, we are excited to announce our partnership with Womxn Explore 2023.
Following a successful campaign in 2022, our SATSA Co-Vice Chair and Eastern Cape Chapter Chair, Mandisa Magwaxaza, will be hosting trade on an exciting fam trip to introduce the wonderful offerings and Woman in Tourism of the Eastern Cape.
Taking place between 24 and 28 August 2023 the round-trip itinerary will includes several noteworthy destinations in the Eastern Cape:
Valley of Desolation and Graaf-Reinet: This scenic area is known for its dramatic rock formations and breathtaking views. Graaf-Reinet is a charming town with a rich cultural and historical heritage.
Nieu-Bethesda: This small village is famous for the Owl House, a unique art installation created by Helen Martins. The Owl House showcases a captivating mix of sculptures and murals.
Cradock: Here, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the history of the town. Cradock boasts historical landmarks and architectural gems, giving visitors a glimpse into the past.
Mountain Zebra National Park: Start your day with an early morning visit to this national park. It is known for its conservation efforts and is home to a variety of wildlife, including the endangered Cape Mountain Zebra.
Addo Elephant National Park: Conclude your fam trip by spending the final night in Addo Elephant National Park. As the third-largest national park in South Africa, it offers a remarkable opportunity to observe elephants and other wildlife in their natural habitat.
By participating, you'll gain first-hand knowledge of the Eastern Cape's tourism offerings and discover the contributions of remarkable women in the industry. It's an excellent opportunity for travel professionals to expand their understanding of this beautiful region and its attractions.
